Writing for CNI
CNI invites original research, reviews, study and discussion papers, testimonies, reports, editorials and comments for publication .
Editorials – 500 – 1000 words
Research Papers – 2000-3000 words.
Full papers reporting original research can be up to 3000 words in length. Research papers should adhere to recognised standards for reporting.
Reviews and Discussion Papers – 1000-2000 words
Reviews, including: literature reviews, which provide an analysis of the literature on a broad topic; policy reviews, i.e. reviews of published literature and policy documents which inform Christian nursing practice, the organisation of nursing services, or the education and preparation of nurses and/or midwives.
Book Review Articles, i.e. papers which provide a critical discussion of an aspect of nursing with reference to two or more recent publications on a similar topic.
Discussion Papers – Articles that debate an issue
Testimonies – Personal accounts of individual nurses spiritual experiences
Short reports – up to 500 words.
These can include conference reports NNCF event reports
Comments and commentaries – 500 words.
These are designed to stimulate debate and discussion
